• Science Accueil is an association which helps foreign scientists to find an accommodation in Paris and South of Paris. To receive lodging proposals, complete the on-line form. Do not forget to mention your association with ENS Cachan, as we have an agreement with Science Accueil.
  

• The ENS Cachan, Pavillon des Jardins : on campus housing. Your hosting department / laboratory at ENS Cachan will book an accommodation for you. For more information, please contact directly : +33 1 47 40 29 00. You can also consult the list of hotels near the campus.

• Villa Pasteur: residence for researchers or academics invited by an establishment of higher education or research in the parisian city limits.

• Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris (CIUP): housing in the South of Paris. To receive lodging proposals, complete the on-line form

• Furnished appartements for temporary stays (1 year maximum) or student housing, on the internet site appart-in-france.

• Fondation nationale Alfred Kastler (FNAK): National foundation created with the purpose of helping foreign scientist during their stay in France. FNAK services: legal assistance, bank, housing, French courses, services to the family, health insurance, etc.

• France contact: a website dedicated to foreign researchers and grantees.
  

Documents and information required to open a Bank account in France:

• a photocopy of your passport
• a certificate of recruitment (the HRO will deliver it to you)
• your address in France (proved by a hosting declaration, a location contract or any nominal invoice)

In case you prefer your salary to be transferred abroad, you need to provide the HRO the complete bank references and a personal address in your home country (please fill in the form).

In case you wish to close your bank account in France at the end of your stay, please check with the HRO first and with your bank to insure all payments concerning your salary have been made and credited on your account. You can also close your bank account from abroad just by sending a request to your French bank and joining your bank references in your home country along with your personal address and telephone number in your country.
