The Ecole normale supérieure de Cachan (ENS Cachan), a prestigious public institution of higher education and research founded in 1912, is one of the major French Grandes Écoles, which are considered the pinnacle of French higher education. Organized by the Cachan History of Social Science Group and the Amsterdam History and Methodology Group.

Every year, the ENS Cachan welcomes between 15 and 30 foreign students at M2 level or PhD within the framework of this program.
The ENS Cachan is involved with five other French institutes and university in a new international master program (second year) "Materials and Engineering Sciences in Paris".
